Plastic mold steels

The requirements for mold steels are more diverse than in any other manufacturing process. Wear resistance, especially when processing fibre-reinforced plastics, and in addition corrosion resistance, machinability, polishability, thermal conductivity and mechanical properties are among the most important criteria.
